Thank you for this much needed read! Such a beautiful reminder to let that inner child stay passionated curious. Taking the leap is scary, but I’ve felt the pull for a while. Time to create from the heart again and trust that years of stacked-up skills will guide me home. 💙
Your writing has that same weight and clarity you get from Ray Dalio, Viktor Frankl, or Richard Rudd (especially his stuff on pausing and pivoting in the art of contemplation). But you have a unique twist that makes these big ideas way easier to wrap my head around.
This rings so true for me. I’ve always been multi-passionate, which to those around me, always just looked like I was being the silliest goose. It wasn’t a lack of commitment, I’ve gone far in certain disciplines and deep in others, but locking it down to one path felt impossible. Even now, narrowing down to a topic to two to write about for Substack feels impossible. I suppose I’ll keep following my interests for now!
✨Thank you for taking the time to put together this bundle of gems of wisdom and your generous, loving spirit!💕🙏🏻I so resonate with your teachings and realizations. I’ve had a soul/spirit led-life and haven’t ever focused on monetary abundance as a priority, yet… I’m feeling the need to share work with the world and also have more of our family’s needs met by some financial super-abundance, that would be the cherry on top of life, at this point❣️And, it would feel really great to know I’m uplifting the lives of others in all the ways I’m capable of, or that the power of Spirit is able to utilize through me❣️
What an epic post. I resonate so much! It’s crazy how deeply the “I’m doing something wrong” story runs whenever I’m doing things that truly light me up but that my mind labels as “not productive.”
I have so much curiosity and have trained in so many different things, yet there’s been this little voice that judges me… telling me I don’t know how to commit, that I need to get my ADHD under control, pressuring to find my ONE purpose etc. etc.
I’ve already been working on shifting this, but this post reallyyyyy confirmed that maybe my curiosity isn’t the problem....it’s one of my greatest gifts!!!!🤍 thank you thank
The concept of updating our "mental models" stood out to me. We spend so much time optimizing within the same framework that we rarely question whether the framework itself is outdated. Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn't working harder, it's seeing the problem through a completely different lens.
There is so much to unpack here and of course more timely than I have enough time to explain 😁 The most resonating part, again, is the 80/20 rule. My days have been consumed with so many tasks and to do’s that I feel like I’m living someone else’s life. I knew this unraveling was coming and I’m both excited and a little trepidatious. I remember thinking when I was younger that I had so many things I was interested in from mathematics to life coaching and most anything in between. I would find myself getting stuck with choosing one thing to focus on. One day someone told me to just focus on that one thing that ignites your heart right now. And then the rest will fall into place. It has been a skill stacking for sure. Now it’s time to quiet my mind and open my heart.
This was a fantastic read. I think there are actually many of us who float from passion to passion. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to explore and go all-in on my interests over the past many decades. There is a bit of guilt for not staying with an interest over the long term, but now I can appreciate looking at this with a new perspective: *Passion Hopping = Skill Stacking* Thank you, Jeremy!
One after another - i may need to set a day aside at this point just to reflect on things. The intention alone is worth so much - yet not done nearly enough. Outstanding article as always!
Authenticity often needs the right conditions: safety, attention, practice, feedback, and enough internal stillness to notice what is trying to come through.
Since I was young I've stepped in and out of all kinds of studies. General psychology, British literature, gang psychology, herbal medicine, mycology, nutritional science, massage, novels and so on. Same with work. I'd pick up a job and excel fast, then watch the company pile more and more onto me just because I was competent (I genuinely enjoyed being good at what I did). But there was always a point where, once I'd accumulated enough knowledge or experience, I'd get bored and feel the pull to move on.
I carried so much guilt and shame around that for years, all of it coming from detrimental structures. I used to think things like "I wish I could be passionate about one thing for a long time" or "I wish I was like the people who are content with just one lane." Thankfully my mom never thought that way. She's like me, lots of pivots, and watching her is what finally helped it sink in that I was fine exactly as I am.
I know we've heard you talk about polymaths a hundred times haha but this piece put it into perspective in a way where I could see myself. I sat and thought about everything I've ever poured my attention and passion into, and I can see all of it showing up in the work I do now, materially and spiritually.
Such a beautiful way to look at it. It brought so much gratitude to the surface! Thanks Jeremy!
So many gems in this, many I have heard you speak on previously, but receiving them in this format is like adding another layer to the message for me. I have only read through this once and will definitely be coming back to this over and over again.
Absolutely have talked about these over time in the LUC, but have never quite weaved them together in the way that this piece ended up coming together.
Yes, weaving them together is a great description for the tapestry you created here! I am really loving your writing style and appreciate the depth of what you have been sharing.
I really would like too take charge yet at this time my physical ailments need priority which this part of my health problem is effecting my brain, my cognitive skills and frontal lobe or execute function....
I just love your beautiful mind! You have given me so much to explore here. I’m off to listen to my heart 🩷
Aww thank you babe 🥰❤️🔥

Really loved this!
Wow, that’s such a powerful compliment. Thank you greatly brother!
It is no doubt a “hero’s journey” of its own, trusting the heart to lead us.. what a beautiful invitation, eh? ❤️🔥

Another gem 💎! This resonated with me, as usual. It validated the importance of having the intention assimilate truth vs accumulate truth.
Oooo I love that, Cat!
Assimilate vs. Accumulate 🔥

Appreciate you, Kyle! Will try to tone it down for a few posts 😉😂
The incredible depth of writers on here has me inspired on a whole other level..

This comment allows me to see you in an entirely new light, and fills in so much context as to why you seem to stand out to me as a person.
I haven’t been able to put words to it before, but I believe what has pinged me about you is the rare depth AND breadth you possess..
Whether I’m talking about AI, history, investing, “the work”, or other- you don’t skip a beat.
I see you, sister ❤️🔥🙂🙌
All the love, brother 💖
All the, brother 💖

Appreciate the reflections, Scott! 😌
